Everything about this hotel was a dream. Luxurious, calming oasis of comfort and peace in the city. Perfectly located to get around with ease, and with staff that couln't have been more helpful and friendly. You arrive to a complimentary matcha and the entrance alone is like stepping into a soothing spa. The incense and the beautiful fountain and rock gardens under a latticed roof really transitions you out of the hot busy city into a cocoon. Our room was generously sized with attention to detail in every design choice. I could have stayed here forever and will definitely be back. Book it, you won't regret it.

Rooms are spacious, clean, modern, and the hotel has everything you need (laundry and ice machine, and any extra amenities on ground floor). Staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have, and allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel before check-in and also for a few hours after check out. The location is perfect to explore central Kyoto and only a 10-min walk to the Chion-in Temple and Maruyama Park.

Enkelt å reise rundt i Kyoto med Gion-distriktet som utgangspunkt. kort vei til kollektiv transport, gangavstand til en rekke butikker og restauranter. To dobbeltsenger, vi var to voksne og to tenåringer- det gikk helt fint! rent og pent, med liten kjøkkenkrok hvor vi lagde frokost. Hotellet er litt utenfor de travleste gatene, hvilket passet oss bra.
