Pilgrimage Village Boutique Resort & Spa is a rustic resort in a tranquil area of Thua Thien Hue. It is no exaggeration to state that this is one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed (huge sample size!). The design (physical and landscape) is exquisite and befits the same design masterpieces of the city's main attractions (Citadel and Tombs). It should be featured in "Architectual Digest"! Four Seasons it isn't but why would you want something so corporate and soul sucking (and ten times the price or more) when you can enjoy crossing into this "other world" that offers a respite (practically a "campus") that so elegantly melds nature with function. The facilities are spread out among a huge lobby building (open air), the various room buildings consists of a variety of two-storey buildings, others standalone large bungalows, and others in attached rows centered around beautiful swimming pools. The breakfast is outstanding--the best we had in Vietnam--tons of options. In the same building as the breakfast area, but in the ground floor, is a charming bar. Simply said, the hotel offers a whole lot of benefits at a comparatively high value. All the staff were highly responsive, hard-working, and welcoming---typical beautiful Vietnamese hospitality!

Ancient Huế Garden Houses features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a garden and shared lounge in Thôn Dương Xuân Hạ. Beautiful hotel with impeccable details and service, accommodating and friendly staff. They had a separate vegan menu that was authentically Vietnamese and delicious! Classical aesthetics with modern amenities - this hotel was even better than the pictures and exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay again and for a longer stay!
