Columbia is an armpit. If I never go back there again it will be too soon. The hotels were crap, at least half of the city is just schetchy as hell. The restaurant we went to was overbooked and we got ignored and then rushed through our meal.

We had a confirmation from Expedia with a room rate of $64.
We had a confirmation from Expedia with a room rate of $64.XX but upon arrival we were told that there were no single queen rooms left and we could upgrade to a double queen room for $25. Being almost 11:00 PM, we had no choice but to accept this bogus upcharge.

The price of the room was great.
The price of the room was great. Even though it was fairly inexpensive I was expecting it to be clean and big free. The staff was friendly but. The bugs overwhelming. I was glad to leave. Never again.

We are looking to build a home north of the city and did a lot in the 2 days we were there. I loved the downtown area and the riverfront park area. Definitely would have been worth having a few more days - but will be back if our offer on land is accepted anyways :)
Definitely check out the riverfront and old pump house. Got some really cool photos and there were a lot of people out enjoying the beautiful weather. If you're traveling without your dogs (which we were) and want some doggy time, head there as well. A lot of people with their four legged friends walking the greenway and hanging out on the grassy areas near the water.
Very diverse area and clean city! I feel really good about moving to Columbia SC from Nashville TN.

Breakfast could have been better.
Breakfast could have been better. I eat GF free and there was not much choice for me. Cracker Barrel is right down the street and Lizard's Thicket is not too far away. Getting around the area is very easy. I play disc golf and there are a number of courses nearby to play. I have dust mite allergies and although the beds were clean I could smell the yuk from the old carpets the minute I walked through the door. If not for this and the somewhat seedy location I would have given it 5 smiles. But I ask myself is anywhere else going to be any different given all the rule breakers allowed in our country? Probably not!

Kelly,Roshonda,Rasheed was amazing front desk staff.
Kelly,Roshonda,Rasheed was amazing front desk staff. Jessica was very rude as a sales manager she does not represent Hilton standards at all as a manager. I didn't like my stay at all there wasn't 100% guarantee at all in I'm a Hilton honors memeber gold at that.. Jessica wasn't trying to accommodate anything off my stay nor go to any of the rooms that was given to see about the issue she was just RUDE as a manager. I should had got back my whole stay not just one night due to still staying in a dirty room
The location was great , able to see the hotel from the expressway ramp . Close to many restaurants and a mall . Nice flat screen TV in the large room . We had a bit of a problem with the bathroom cleanliness , butthe front desk person cleared that up for us . THANKS . The breakfast was better than we expected . YOu stand at a counter , and they bring you a small box of hot food with potatoes , scrambled eggs and bacon . There were also things like cereal and muffins etc. for you . Huge bed in the room was comfortable
The hotel was very clean with everything we were promised there, the rooms were spacious and comfortable the beds and pillows were very comfortable the pull out bed not so much but is to be expected generally with those beds. The breakfast was nice and full of everything the attended over it did an excellent job making sure everything stayed full and clean. The staff overall was very friendly and professional. We stay in Columbia about once a month and this is our hotel every time.
We stayed at the Hotel Trundle twice during our trip to the southern states. The first time we checked in, it was around 0100 and found the reception staff very helpful. The complimentary drinks on arrival were an added bonus. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Even though the hotel offers parking the hotel is positioned perfectly to be able to explore the city by foot. The market on a Saturday morning is literally just around the corner.
Just like the other traveler, I was worried about this hotel. When I actually get here, this place look a little bit old and when I climbed to the second floor, it feels like I am in the horror movie. However! when I walked into the room, it surprises me. The bathroom is big, bed look clean. I would say if you look for one night stay and no have a lot of budget, this is a above average choice
This is our favorite hotel in Columbia. We will stay here again and again. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfortable, the noise level is perfect and you get a good night's sleep. The rooms are spacious, and my favorite is the walk-in shower. The fridge always works great, the room temperature is always perfect. I absolutely love this hotel.
The room and bathroom were very spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very good. We had the best buffet breakfast here compared to other hotels where breakfast was included. Hotel front staff was very pleasant, helpful and personable. The hotel overall was exceptionally clean. We loved everything about our stay. Very happy!
The staff helped us get early check in and poolside on the first floor. So very nice pool and place to lay out. Clear signs that this is an older hotel that they or remodeling as noticed most in the bathroom however the bedroom carpet and walls were very aesthetically pleasing.
The place was very beautiful and clean. There is a bar, snacks and even a gym at the bottom. Rooms are very spacious as well as being nice and very clean. The staff is great, friendly and answers all your doubts and questions. I highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel was quiet. No loud talking late at night in the halls. The location was good for me. Staff was very helpful.
Room was clean. I come to Columbia to visit family. So I come often. It was a good experience for me. I will return here.
Breakfast was ordinary. Toaster was partially broken. Serve yourself eggs are usually overcooked: & they were. Hot food wasn't hot. NOTE: Make your toast before loading your plate.
I liked the hotel bar. Good server in Micky.
Breakfast was the best we had at a hotel. Lady that served it up was so nice. I think her name was Gigi or Gia. Overall great experience! We were there to see our grandson graduate from the Army ,and location was great.
We enjoyed service, friendliness, breakfast restaurants in surrounding area, and the overall stay at hotel. We stayed at hotel before and will continue to stay at hotel when we are in the area again. FIVE * HOTEL
The cleanness and fresh smell of the hotel, including the room was awesome. No stinky carpet at all. Will go back again. The staff here are outstanding, in their service to you.
The rooms are comfortable but the bathroom could have better lighting. The location of the hotel is good but the traffic after 12am is awful and the races begin 😂😂
