First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to Paula and her team! They did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Paula is an incredibly warm and welcoming person and this creates a beautiful aura in the place. The bungalow we stayed in was comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. The huge advantage for me was the strong WiFi as I work remotely. Also, the swimming pools are really lovely. The whole residence has a very relaxed and serene atmosphere thanks to the amazing people working there who truly live out their passion for hospitality. The walk to the beach is just 2-3 min with lots of restaurants and bars. Overall, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Zanzibar!

Amka house has two properties, the one pictured and another just down on the beach. We were at the second one and it was so lovely. The bed was comfortable, the only sound at night time was the sound of the sea. Breakfast was lovely and served on the terrace and the place was kept very clean and tidy. Issa was an excellent host, helping to sort out trips/transport or answer any questions, his taxi prices were the cheapest and his recommendations of places to visit were always great. Amka house is basic, but for the money it is excellent value, great location and very clean and comfortable. Wouldn’t hesitate to return

Stefania and her team are super lovely. They made us feel like at home. The food is very good. If you like pizza then Bahari is the best place around for you. Directly located at the Jambiani beach. The family room was spacious and was cleaned every day. The whole place gave us the good feeling of Thailand 20 years ago, if you know what I mean. Over all a clear recommendation. Even if you stay in another accomodation you should come over for dinner.

Lush place. Exactly like the photos, very tranquil. The beach is just a short walk away and there are local shops close by. Stayed here with my partner and it felt like a little home alway from. Staff were also lovely an attentive. Will be back in the future!
