Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses in Egilsstaðir provides adults-only accommodations with a private beach area and a garden. Very friendly host. The cabin was nicely decorated and very clean. Great view on the lake. Had a lovely night next to the fireplace. Would stay another night if we could.

We booked a lodge for 4 days but due to a snow storm and closed roads we stayed an extra night. The hosts are absolutely wonderful. They gave us dinner and breakfast. Apart from their care they are truly passionate about their work. They are building new lodges that look amazing. Our lodge was cozy and had everything we needed. To those who read this: book here and you won’t be disappointed.

The room was very big, but I think we got the biggest room because we also had a small private terrace. The location is very remote and is a nice touch the free tickets to the Viking Village. A lot of parking spaces and very close to Hofn, 10-15 minutes drive.

I love the easy access into the building and the room. The breakfast in the morning was an added touch! There’s a microwave in the common area to use which is also nice! Pretty basic, but all you need if you’re just stopping for a night or two
