We loved staying at the Family Bat Cave Homestay! Escaro is a wonderful host, he and his family are very welcoming. His wife made delicious food and Esaro arranged a fantastic day and evening tour for us. We were lucky enough to be there on the last day of the New Year celebration in which we joined the community celebration. The accomodations are rustic and just what we were looking for. Highly recommend a stay here is you are looking for a unique Cambodia experience. Esaro’s partner, whose name I can’t remember now, brought us to so many interesting places and shared a lot of information with us. He was also ready with cold water all day for us. Amazing homestay! Bun and his family are so welcoming and our room was so spacious and clean! The breakfast each morning was amazing and there is also coffee/tea facility in the room and a kitchen facility guests can use. We booked a tuk tuk tour with Bun’s colleague which was brilliant. Our driver was so kind and friendly. Bun even invited us to join him and his friends for a few beers on our last night.

Location is amazing, in the countryside with the view on the rice field. The bamboo rooms are so atypical and although there are plenty of space, we don't get disturbed by insects or other animals. As it is far from the city it is worth having food at the restaurant (the food is definitely awesome) and take a tour with Mr. driver. Unless you have your own plan already, like cycling around, I would recommend to stay there and use all services provided. It's out of the city, which I loved, but to consider based on your priorities. Lastly, the kindness of the people there was something 👌🏼
