Featuring quiet street views, Sherman Inn is situated in Ogdensburg, around 48 km from SUNY Potsdam. It is located 46 km from Clarkson University and features a shared kitchen. The price-quality relationship is unbeatable: I've visited several hotels in the U.S., and undoubtedly, this has probably been the most memorable. We visited Ogdensburg just because we saw this interesting accommodation, and at every point, we were surprised. We thought that visiting and staying in a hotel that was previously a school was a great idea, but we found that there was much more that made this place special. As soon as we entered, we noticed the adorable Christmas decorations that were in every space of the school. Jim greeted us with a big smile and asked if we wanted him to give us a guided tour of the place or just show us the room. I couldn't resist the history, and Jim enthusiastically showed us around, adding historical facts about the school and Ogdensburg. It was truly interesting, and I don't think there are more suitable people to bring this hotel to life than them. What better than to sleep in a hotel that was a school with people so passionate about the history and the place it's located? I couldn't ask for more. The room was enormous (I think that's the first thing you can mention when you enter), and I'm not exaggerating. For this price, here you get two or three times the room size offered in other places. After all, your room is the size of a classroom! The walls are incredibly thick, so it's very unlikely that you'll hear any noise. The decoration in each room is different, and you can see and feel the dedication put into each one—all of them are adorable. The room had a lovely Christmas tree; each room had one, each with different decorations. This detail added an even warmer touch, and I regret not spending Christmas here. On the second floor, they have a well-equipped kitchen available for Sherman Inn visitors. And of course, we used it! It made our stay comfortable as if we were at home. Breakfast was delicious.

Set in Brooklyn in the New York region, A and FayeBed and Breakfast, Inc, features a terrace. Phil is a wonderful host, very friendly, informative and helpful. The house and the rooms are immaculate, beds super comfortable. The place and the neighborhood are quiet, very quiet, and the street is absolutely beautiful. We visited our daughter about 10 blocks away and were out late every night, walking back to Phil's place between 11:00 and midnight each night alone by ourselves. It was 100% user friendly on the street, no safety issues at all. It is an old residential area, established, well kept and impressive.

Located in Wilmington, 18 km from Lake Placid, The Wilderness Inn: Chalets features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a bar and barbecue facilities. My fiancée loved the fireplace and the big kitchen space. Very picturesque cabin and location overall. The hosts are extremely responsive. We had a small issue with the wifi, and they fixed it for us right away. We would definitely come back here again.

The Springwater Bed and Breakfast in Saratoga Springs provides adults-only accommodation with a fitness centre, a bar and a shared lounge. Probably one of the charmer Inns we´ve ever stayed in. Unbeatable location in front of the lake, internal design and arthitecture are to die for, and the live music in the cozy bar is an awesome plus. One of the highlights of our trip.

Set within 1.9 km of Cornell University and 3.5 km of Ithaca College, William Henry Miller Inn offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ithaca. It was great. Loved our room. Food was wonderful at breakfast. They accommodated us by allowing us to invite our son for breakfast at a minimal extra cost. Really nice. I'd stay there again!

Set within the Flatbush district in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Artist Delight has air conditioning, a balcony, and city views. Deeply recommend! Very nice flat, clean and tidy. The bedroom is big enough for two people, with a big window and plugs in every wall. The common area is modern and full of portraits, a little art gallery and there are also all the services. And the last but not the least, there is Boris the owner, such a interesting and friendly man. You will feel yourself at home and it's been a pleasure to exchange thoughts and opinions with this artist. He is nice. The zone is good, no that far from the "Sterling" Subway Station, only 5 minutes by walk, with trains that reach Manhattan in 25 minutes. Otherwise there is the bus stop right behind the corner.
