There's a big common area and a patio where you can meet other people and there's a nice community atmosphere. The staff is nice and friendly and the location is just perfect both for hiking with trails that start right out of the hostel and for visiting Plitvice that you can easily reach with the shuttle service provided by the hostel. I met an amazing group of people here! Perfect place to spend a few days in nature and escape the hectic cities. There are several hikes you can do directly from the hostel. Best way to visit plitvice lakes, the shuttle bus service is perfect (and cheap) as you have a full day so get to walk both halves of the park. Everyone I met here ended up extending their stay!

The property was very very clean and well equipped kitchen and bathroom. It is also wheel chair friendly - which is so nice and so rare to see with vacation homes. The host was easy to communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful chalet, even though the hot tub was not available during the season ww went in, we did not miss it :) The surrounding rustic village was great for walks with our dog. The shuttle to the lakes even goes in off season and is cheap. There‘s not much going on in the town itself but that way everyone is going to bed at a reasonable hour and at around the same time. For this reason I got the best sleep of my trip at this hostel. Although Korenica is such a small town there still are enough buses going to all the major cities from there. It has two separate bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one on the upper floor. Two additional beds are one in the living/kitchen open space, and one in another open space on the upper floor. There are two bathrooms (each accessible from the bedrooms) and one toilet accessible from the living. Overall the place is new, clean, the beds are confortable and the host is super nice. The house is equipped with AC, and a functional kitchen.
