Probably the first place where we stayed where the reality exceeds the property photos. This is a gem! Beautiful, tastefully restored little house in a quiet remote village which is really close to Heraklion by car, just in 10 minutes you suddenly find yourself in a different world than the touristy seashore, a piece of traditional, rural Crete. But be aware, you do need a car - which is cheap to rent in Crete anyway. The owners left some tasty local products for us (honey, butter, marmalade, some bakery product, olive oil, even raki!) so we didn't have to care about the first breakfast. There is a place to park just in front of the house which is very convenient. (Don't be shy on the narrow streets that leads there, the car will fit).

Villa Strata (a path to Psiloritis mountain) er staðsett í Kardhamianá, aðeins 37 km frá feneysku veggjunum, og býður upp á gistirými með garði, verönd, grillaðstöðu og ókeypis WiFi. Villa Strata was an amazing stay, super clean and fully equipped. We stayed there for one night and immediately fell in love with the place, the house, the village and the locals. Michalis was an excellent host, always available for help and recommendations and he made us feel at home. Can't wait to come back!

Flammingo colour valey house er staðsett í Palekastron, 500 metra frá Maridati-ströndinni og í innan við 1 km fjarlægð frá Kouremenos-ströndinni, og býður upp á garð- og garðútsýni. Amazing stay and fantastic location! Costas is a very warm and helpful host. The house is located in an olive grove a few 100 meters from the calm beach of Maridati (and 1 min from the Maridatis restaurant) where you can go snorkeling as there are a lot of fish! The house is spacious and comfortable, it has a small terrace with a view of the surrounding. You will see nothing except the occasional sheep, rabbit or 'house' cat which we befriended. If you enjoy a quiet and totally relaxing stay, very close to an amazing and less known beach with few people and great swimming in cristal clear and calm waters, then don't hesitate. On top of that you have a taverna close by with amazing hosts (Eleni and Manolis) and great food. We will be back. Thank you, Costas, for the warm welcome and your kindness!

The apartment is AMAZING, Marina left gifts for us upon our arrival which was really sweet. She was very reactive when we had questions and answered within a few minutes. The apartment is ideally located and the view is awesome! We’ll definitely stay there again should we go back to Chania!

Beach is 5 minutes walk, wide fully equipped, free in case you buy something from the taverna, where you can have a lunch or dinner. 2. Facilities are very nicely taken care of, spotless clean, spacious, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, safe. 3. Atmosphere and hospitality are on the very high level, 5 minutes after arrival you feel yourself like a family member. Very honest, hardworking and kind family is running the place. You can eat there any time, the quality and size of the portions are exceeding any expectations.

Wooden House Apartments er staðsett í Kaláthenai, í innan við 14 km fjarlægð frá Kissamos / Kasteli-höfninni og 23 km frá Ancient Falassarna. I loved the simplicity and closeness to nature.
