I loved just sitting on my deck of my glamping tent and listen to the wind in the trees and the birds. Tents were very comfortable, good bed, beautiful bathroom and I woke up on a cold morning where I made a fire and took a warm bath, a relaxing place to be. Staff is very kind. There’s one gamedrive per day included where nature is beautiful, there are no elephants but this means beautiful trees. You can book a drive to see rock art of earlier people. Food is very good, creative with great combinations of tastes and spices. We were sad to leave.

The location is superb with spectacular views across to the mountains. The property lacks nothing for the comfort of its guests and the staff are attentive and reliable. We found no negatives.

El Tugela River Lodge ofrece alojamientos independientes a orillas del río Tugela, a 22 km al norte de Winterton, a 13 km de la reserva natural de Spioenkop y a 22 km del Museo Winterton. Great for dog. Beautiful view. Kayaking was relaxing. Walk along river was pleasant.

El J&B Lodge ofrece alojamiento en Underberg, a 12 minutos a pie del Major Adventures y a 16 minutos a pie de las instalaciones médicas de Underberg. Ofrece vistas a la montaña y al jardín. The apartment is clean and equipped with all the things needed to cook for ourselves. It was nice to have a barbecue in front of the lovely view. Barry went out of his way to accommodate all of our requests. He was cordial, kind and cooperative. Staying there is highly recommended

El Greenfire Drakensberg Lodge se encuentra en Kruisfontein y alberga un bar. El establecimiento funciona con energía solar y ofrece cabañas de madera de estilo canadiense. I enjoyed it being so secluded from pretty much everywhere with little to no signal! It’s a good place to escape from the city life with breathtaking views wherever you would look. The owners hospitality was exceptional and you felt very welcomed!

El Treks, Trips and Trails, con vistas al embalse Bell Park y a las cimas de las montañas Drakensberg en la distancia, ofrece chalets independientes bien equipados en el valle de Champagne. Nos alojamos en la cabaña de madera. El alojamiento es IMPRESIONANTE, muchísimo mejor que lo que muestran las fotos. Hubo días que volvíamos antes a casa simplemente para disfrutar de la cabaña y las puestas de sol desde la terraza. Cuenta, en planta primera, con un gran espacio diáfano (sin TV) de salón-cocina, una gran terraza de lado a lado, con barbacoa y mesa exterior, y un dormitorio con baño incorporado. Dentro del dormitorio y del baño hay espacios acristalados que dejan ver los troncos de los árboles que atraviesan la casa. En la planta inferior hay otro dormitorio y baño. Las vistas del lago y los montes son increíbles. Es un alojamiento muy tranquilo, con mucha paz. La zona, igual que otras en sudáfrica, tiene cortes de luz, por lo que el propietario nos dio lámparas de gas y linternas. Además, nos esperó con el coche en la carretera para llevarnos hasta el alojamiento, por si nos perdíamos. Hicimos dos trekking: uno en la zona de Champagne Castle (bastante cerca, muy bonito) y otro en la zona de Cathedral Peak (hay que dar un rodeo de una hora para llegar).
