The view was amazing -we sat outside having breakfast on verandah as the view was so inviting,
Everything else was just great.
Also I was about to carry my suitcase upstairs when a lovely lady staff member said let me do that for you.
Also the young man at the desk when we checked in also had offered to help us upstairs so staff were excellent

Clean town, good beach, plenty of restaurants and a very good bowls club for dinner, remember to take id. Stopped overnight going and returning from Victoria/ Queensland. There are some good motels just back from the beach.

Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye. PMQ case in point Pros - The beaches would be among the best in the world. - Greenery - Nature attractions/urban wildlife - Improvements on waterfront world class - Beach walkway from Town to Lighthouse beach amazing. Cons - Roads are simply appalling in many places, just pothole covers holding hands and a should be a real embarrassment to local council, though looks in places they have started fixing the problem - High elderly and low socio-economic population, kind of depressing local population - Population/development explosion, high rents and tariffs - Lots of hoons and bogans, exercise vigilance late at night - Increasingly visible homeless problem - Town is over promoted and exploited, certainly not a place to "get away from it all" anymore, its got plenty of what you came to escape, best to come outside of public and school holidays, always some pesky "festival" or event going on blocking roads and causing chaos - Not a quaint fishing/holiday destination anymore - If you strike a "Red Weed" season on your holiday, any beach-river activities are ruined. -Service in most establishments is terribleJonAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Happy and helpful staff at motel and EI restaurant. The comfiest bed 🫠 you could ask for and walking distance to river, beach, restaurants and shopping centre. Given Free coffees upon book in for breakfast was a lovely bonus. 😊 Only disappointment was upgraded to balcony for the treat of the view of the river as shown in picture. The Bowling Club was located at the back of the apartment building and only a short stroll away. Perfect place for dinner. Also love the restaurant at Westport for dinner. We have been there numerous times and never disappointed. We have stayed in PM numerous times and always love coming back. Great accommodation, walks, beach and cafes. The Sea Acres Rainforest is definitely worth a visit and the food at the Cafe is lovely.JanelleAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0
Nice Getaway.
Nice Getaway. You can do Jet Ski at $240 per hour, and can swap drivers. Sea Plane ride was good, but not comfortable. Book a day in advance else you have to come back next day. One thing is food is expensive in the place.

The location is great and the bed, although small was comfortable. However the rooms are tired and need a revamp. Small touches such as some decent shower gel, nice tea and coffee and a couple bottles of water for guests would make a difference. I have stayed in much nicer accommodation for cheaper. On the plus there is parking, a hot shower and is very central.

The room was excellent value for money, clean and comfortable. It was a 3 or 4 minute drive to the local hotel for a great meal in a family friendly restaurant. We only stayed the night as a stopover to elsewhere (which is mostly what we do in Port Mac) so not near the beaches and busy town centre. He even unlocked the back gate so that I had a grassed area to toilet Vader( cleaned up afterwards 😁). I had two rooms over two nights both were great, clean, comfortable and in very good condition. Within walking distance to Flynns Beach and driving distance to everything in Port Macquarie. It is a good size with a large kitchen, dining room, living room and a very comfortable king bed. The shower is lovely. We have stayed here several times and always request the same room as we love to sit in bed and look out to the creek/forest area out the back. Our request has always been granted.
