I got a cold in the middle steak pie which was hastily reheated in the microwave after complaining. I decided not to eat it.

The general ambience and atmosphere. The food was good and the bar had a good choice of beers. The person who checked me in was helpful in that he locked my bike securely in the cellar.

Beautiful room in a historic house, delicious breakfast, elegantly presented. Very helpful and friendly host and hostess. Louise is an expert baker/. - lemon drizzle cake in our room, and a great variety of breakfast treats. Martyn cheerfully carried our luggage up and down stairs without being asked. We’d have loved to stay longer.
