Calm, Clean, comfortable bed, fantastic pool view, friendly staff, pleasant hotel environments, good breakfast . There is a shopping mall and pizzeria nearby to buy foods , fruits, sun cream,… Pool water was so clean and checked by life guards regularly ( it was a little cold and good to be warmer). the host and her daughter were very helpful and allowed us a late check-in, they also gave us a bunch of recommendations on places worth visiting during our road-trip around Sardinia. we only spent one night at the B&B, but the room was great - a comfortable bed, clean and nice bathroom and the most important a working AC (not a standard in Sardinia from what we heard). the breakfast was also nice - typical Italian sweets and coffee :)

Villa Donna Maria, hotel in Capoterra

Villa Donna Maria is located in the city centre of Capoterra and offers bright rooms with flat-screen TV, 5 km from the sandy Maddalena Beach.

Simply a clean room for a night’s sleep but nothing more. I believe 80 euro’s for just this is too much. The host is a nice person though.

If you have a car you can explore beaches.

If you have a car you can explore beaches. It was August so many beaches were quite full, and normally you had to call to book. We went without calling and almost always found a spot somewhere (2 sunbeds and beach umbrella). It is impossible to stay on the beach with 33 degrees without an umbrella. Bring your own or rent one (in August the prices are high -50 euros). Only Spiagga Tuerreda was completely full and we would have to queue to get in. An interesting beach is Spiaggia di Nora (it also has 2 restaurants and archelogical site), so you can spend whole day there. Some beaches are reserved by the hotels nearby and you cannot use them- normally in one bay there are two or three beaches, one to book, one free, one from the hotel. I loved that you could see flamingos everywhere (from the highway, near beaches, next to our hotel). I would avoid going again in August though - it was too hot go walking in the city , to go birdwatching and cycling in the flamingo park (Molentargius)...Also, prices were much higher than out of season.

We really liked the discussions with Antonio and his wife about the island of Sardinia and local culture and history. They recommanded us very good restaurants and places to visit in the region. Capoterra is only about 15-minute drive from Cagliari.

A better place to stay at the end of our trip, far away from...

A better place to stay at the end of our trip, far away from ugly buildings in the center of Cagliari, the ugly port and giant chemicals companies in the vicinity. One needs to drive over 40mn to get to nice beaches and scenery of big mountains + olive groves. Parking at most beaches at the end is 8 € ! Sardinia is excellent for swimming in beautiful and clear ocean water. Still have to be carful of where one swims as there is alwys a bad smell of maybe "sewage" going to the ocean!!

In contradiction to other accommodations in Sardinia, the villa was well furnished and gave an old countryhouse feeling. Beautifull furniture and very good outdoor space. We had a good time staying there with 8 friends (4 couples). Every bedroom had its own bathroom. We had an issue because the hot water stopped working, but the owner came by and fixed it within an hour. So fast communication. It was also possible to check in a bit earlier. The pool was bigger then we had imagined, we mostly stayed in the garden and by the pool.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is clean, large, well equipped and dog friendly with a big and fully fenced courtyard which includes secure off street parking. We spent our days in Cagliari which is about 20 minutes away but wished we had spent some time in the village of Capoterra as it looks like a charming old area. The property is owned by Marcelo, a young man who went out of his way to help us and was very reliable with any questions we had. No hesitation from us about staying there again.

Stuff was friendly, Michelangelo especially. The dinner buffet was surprisingly good. They have a nice pool with sunbeds under the sun and big sofas under shadow, which was great in the mornings. Very good water flow in the rooms. We also liked Luchia - a lovely fluffy cat that would show up in the mornings to demand some attention, and eventually, you can see her in the evening, but only if she's in a mood. The flamingos were in the lagoon in front of the hotel when we visited

Luca and his wife are exceptional hosts who made us feel at home right from the start. The room and whole house are extremely clean and well maintained. It is truly a place for relaxation and great service. Luca made our first stay in Sardinia extra special by providing us with useful information about the area, good restaurants, beaches and parking places, in order to make it all easier when visiting unknown places. We are sure we will come back again!

A beautiful place with a very charmong and helpful host! Nestled at the entrance of a Nature park so, apart from little birds, you get no noise. The apt is modern, but with an old charm. Town of Capoterra 5 min drive from the B&B. Excellent breakfast with relaxing music is the cherry on top, high recommendations for this little gem!

Daniela's B&B is excellent - complete with chickens in the garden and birds singing in the morning. It is perfectly located between Cagliari, and the sights and beautiful beaches of Pula and Chia. Daniela is a great host and lovely person and I really had a super nice stay here.
