Mama was amazing. Could not speak English, I could not speak Italian so we both work on our language skills. She was so nice and welcoming. And the Best Italian “Mama” hugs were had.

Location was very convenient, close to the main commuter train station and ideal for exploring Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was superb - very clean, all facilities worked, comfortable bed. The breakfast was simple but tasty. A special thank you to the front of house staff, who were always attentive and welcoming. Very good value for money overall.

Castellammare Di Stabia is an energetic seaside town located just an hour south of Napoli by train and 20+ minutes north of Sorrento. It's the perfect location to visit both of these popular cities as well as Pompeii, Capri, the Amalfi Coast, and even Salerno since you have quick access to the local commuter ferries, Circumvesuviana train, Campania Express, Trenitalia rail line, & even taxis. Other than the convenient location, the best thing about Castellammare Di Stabia is Hotel Desio! The husband & wife owners along with their staff are the kindest people who take hospitality to the next level. The breakfast spread is delicious, plentiful, and served in a large dining room. The bedrooms are simple yet spacious & comfortable. After a long day exploring, it was so nice to come back to my room to rest with the AC on or window open. I call Castellammare Di Stabia the little city that never sleeps since the streets are so busy outside. However, after a quick acclimation period of 1 day, I truly fell in love with the entire town - the sunset views of the sea with Mt. Vesuvius towering in the background - the plethora of beachfront restaurants - the friendly locals - and most importantly, Hotel Desio!! Thank you to Cristina & Paola for such a wonderful stay!
Featuring a garden with swimming pool and a large furnished patio, Hotel Villa Serena is right in front of the Stabia Thermal Resort.

Staff was very friendly and rooms were nice. The restaurant next to the lobby made great meals and offered great breakfasts. Parking was generous, too.

Stunning views of the coast and Mt Vesuvius from our balcony. Our room was immaculate and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. Location could present challenges, but host Giovanni is very helpful in finding solutions to get around. We had a great time and highly recommend!

An interesting area - a slice of real Italian life which we enjoyed after the hustle and bustle of some of the more tourist driven locations.
We ate at La Medusa Hotel sampling exceptional gourmet fine dining.
There are regular train stations travelling along the north and south coast making it perfect to get anywhere.
Local boat trips take you on refreshing scenic coastal tours, however the day trip to Capri was extremely busy with tourists.
An Amalfi coast boat trip is a must and hop off at the little village gem of Positano.

Surprised to find my original review did not "save" properly. We absolutely loved our accommodations. (Two couples) The view is spectacular up and a bit out of the way. We drove down from Rome airport and enjoyed recovery soaking in the sunset on our first night. The hosts were gracious with our delayed arrival due to heavy traffic. We saw Pompeii and Sorrento the next day then much of Amalfi on the third day. We should have planned another night. So perfect! Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed accept we should have bought a big bottle of water along the way.

A perfect location on the train line between Naples and Sorrento so perfect from which to explore the area. I was alone so didn’t venture out much at night but this certainly seemed an option if desired.

The port area is not renovate at all, the outside walls of the buildings are exfoliating and everyone is drying clothes outside the window which is looking very bad. The place is getting very crowed and the driving here is an adventure to escape without a scratch.

I've been visiting Castellammare since 1978.
I've been visiting Castellammare since 1978. Some terrible damage was done in the earthquake of 1980 but the city has progressed past that and is now a beautiful place again. Even better than before. I love the atmosphere and the friendliness xxxx

The bedside floating shelf broke when I put a 2 litre water bottle on it. One of the knobs on the front door came off. Noise from the street is big. Nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good central location. No parking.

The hotel was gorgeous, clean spacious, fabulous pool and views out to sea, sea view was awesome. Staff were very friendly and helpful, arranged trip bookings and transfers as needed. Cant fault the property other than the Monday night cocktail party which went on until 1am may as well have being in the room with us, v loud. Also Tuesday night disco in a different section, not as loud but still could hear in the room. Awoken by fireworks outside our balcony at 12 midnight from the in house function
We loved our stay here. It was convenient for arriving at night from Naples airport, close to Pompeii, and not a bad drive to Sorrento. The staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and served with a beautiful view. We were even able to rent a scooter for driving the Amalfi coast at the hotel which was so convenient. There's a grocery store right at the bottom of the hill. Don't hesitate to book it, it was a fantastic three-night stay.
Great location - nearby the train station and the main area of Castellamare and the beach.
I think its a very kind area for travellers as it is a more authentic town.
The coffee shop employees, where the breakfast is (a coffee + a pastry, near the beach) are really kind.
The rooms are clean which is really important.
When we asked for things like a kettle and an iron we got them later in the same day.
Great property close to the train station and quick connections to Sorrento,Pompei, and Napoli. It is a great place to go exploring the beginning of Amalfi coast and the bay of Naples without paying the ridiculous prices of sorrento for example. The town is also has a very cute suburban vibe and has a couple of nice beaches which can be reached by bus.
I was originally going to stay 2 nights, and ended up staying a whole week. This place gave me peace, the hosts made me feel like I was home, and the city is gorgeous.
Impecable room.
Excellent service.
Free breakfast.
THE BEST VIEWS.
Safe place.
Close to the train.
Beachside.
The best choice if you are coming to Castellammare Di Stabia!
GRACIAS!!!
The B&B is very clean and confortable. Every room has its own bathroom and the views from the windows are excellent. It is very well located, close to the sea, the train station and from the city centre. The rooms are huge.
Castellammare di Stabia is stunning small town that deserves to be explored.
This hotel was amazing! Beautiful view and wonderful staff. I couldn't compliment a hotel and there team as much as I could the staff at Europa Stabia. They made us feel extremely welcome. They were kind and I was raging we only booked for one night. I would totally rebook this hotel.
The hotel is located directly on the beach with a wonderful view of the Gulf of Naples. The part of town where the hotel is located does not let you expect such a hotel, it is not the nicest area. In any case, the cable car, which is only about 1kn from the hotel, is recommended.
Cute and small apartment, in a very nice location, close to everything in Castellammare di Stabia. We had everything we needed, it was very clean and just to add an Italian touch, the neighbors were providing us with local, Italian music! It was an amazing experience!
First of all the friendly owner an the staff: giving us advice what and where to see, and even taking us to restaurant or rail station by car to avoid walking.
The hotel is clean and nice with good breakfast.
I would love to come back again.
Spacious, clean rooms. We used this as a base to spend days in different areas such as Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii etc. This hotel was on the front of the beach, so close to restaurants, shops. A good price for what we wanted to do!
Mr. Salvatore, the owner, and his parents were wonderful to us. they treated us like we were their daughters and helped us a lot. Quiet and beautiful place near the beach. There is also a bus station few meters from the hotel.
Very unique accommodations, you are just in one wing of this large old home. The best thing was the view of Mt Vesuvius and the hotel next door has a lovely restaurant that you can walk to in 3 min.
what a beautiful hotel… we literally can see the mount Vesuvius from our balcony. it was a very pleasant stay. owner upgraded our room to the sea view one. so far our best hotel in Italy.
This is a fine hotel from yesteryear. Location is good and close enough to Castella di Stabio to walk yet away from the hustle of town . Breakfast was very good and the staff pleasant .
Great apartment, spacious, comfortable, clean and in the perfect location. Just a few minutes away from the train station Via Nocera and an easy walking distance from the beach.
