Place is remote which is the attraction but not far from Etna which we were visiting. I would not recommend arriving late ./ in the dark -- you will have to navigate some hills and small roads -- and don't follow google - ask the host for location (we ended up in next village over and someone had to lead us over). rooms are good size, beds are made out of wood scaffolding used for forklifts (it was cool). good heat (we went in April). I suggest you have dinner before you arrive as there is pretty much nothing you can use (cups, glasses, plates, etc -- you will create a hassle for the hosts). The kids loved all of the animals and bonus - they got fresh eggs for breakfast.
Set in the Regional Park of Mount Etna, the Airone Wellness Hotel features a panoramic swimming pool and a luxury wellness center.

The hotel is located at the foothill of the Etna. Perfect location if your are planning activities around Mount Etna. The hotel is a complex building with a lot of facilities. Great view to the valley below. The breakfast was sumptuos and if the buffet was not enough you could order what you needed.

Room was large and clean. There was plenty of parking. Breakfast was very nice. A/C and WiFi worked well.
Built in the 16th century, this palatial hotel is set amid exotic plants and citrus fields, on the slopes of the Mount Etna.

A very nice hotel just off a main road in Giarre. I was visiting cousins in the area and this hotel was very convenient for them to meet me. A very beautiful restoration of an old farmhouse. Great views of Etna in the distance. The grounds are very park-like and there is plenty of free parking. The dinner restaurant on the hotel property was great. Although there was an additional charge, breakfast was very good and well worth it.

A smallish village on the side of Etna but it has all the shops you need for your daily shop if you do not want to go far. It has a small grocery shop, a gelateria/bar/ bakers, butchers and you are not far from Sant Alfio ( 5 minute drive) where you can buy the best take away pizza from a restaurant called Regina Giovanna. Puntalazzo is the ideal place to relax and get away from it all.

I spent 2days with my partner in this lovely house totally renovated. It's perfect for couples &families. There are all the conforts included wi-fi and a big terrace where to take sun and relax with fresh air during the evening. The host is very gentle, she gave us all the info we needed. I strongly recommend this house, the bar in the city centre where it's possible to eat delicious sicilian specialities and absolutely a tour on the Etna. Fantastic!
