Santa Marinella is a very quiet town, with very few food options at the time I visited, second week of April. I feel that the beach and bay area could be renovated to be more welcoming. The ocean is steps away. We were there off season so many things were closed. Come a little later in April. Restaurants around our BB opened after 7 , se we ventured a little further and found options open prior to 7.

This was a pleasant place to spend a few days before taking a cruise from Civitiveccia which is just one rail stop away. Winter temperatures were excellent for walking around the resort and visiting adjacent towns by rail. Fantastic place and people!
Fantastic place and people! Lovely terrace overlooking the beach , very good breakfast and wonderful hosts . Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and shops easy walking distance . They even brought us to the airport at the end of our stay at a very reasonable price, stay here if you can and get the terrace room for a fantastic holiday !GerardUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

The hosts were wonderful. The room was great for a night or two. Located close to beach. The small fridge was appreciated. The pool was refreshing after a long day on the road... more of a large soaking pool with attached jet tub. Lots of outdoor seating and lovely second floor terrace. Anyone who needs a cool room at night will not get it. That being said, I know some Italian hotels turn the cold air off until the summer .. (giving them the benefit of the doubt). But it was June. The air outside was cool but mosquitoes came in .. so window open wasn’t an option. The private beach across the street wasn’t swimmable. All rocks.
