Agriturismo Morani, hotel in Santa Severa

Agriturismo Morani is a recently renovated farm stay in Santa Severa where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. This farm stay offers free private parking, a mini-market, and free Wifi....

Breakfast was nice; a typical breakfast for Italy which included cornetti bread/toast, jams, coffee (espresso, cappuccino, americano), cheese, juices, et cetera. It was served on a terrace in front of the small building where they prepare and sell their locally grown produce.

Ostello del Castello di Santa Severa, hotel in Santa Severa

Ostello del Castello di Santa Severa is located on the beachfront in Santa Severa, a few steps from Spiaggia Di Santa Severa.

The location is amazing next to the beach, the room view heads directly both to the sea and the garden, the toilet is quite clean, the staff speaks limited English but very friendly and helpful, the room size isn't as big as in the picture but decent enough for the price. There's a really good seafood restaurant by the beach.

Hotel Portofina, hotel in Santa Severa

Featuring a private beach with parasols and sun loungers, Hotel Portofina is located in Santa Marinella. This property offers air-conditioned rooms, a shared garden and an à la carte restaurant.

The hotel is family owned and operated since 1960. Fabio and Loretta are the most gracious hosts who go out of the way to make you feel that you are at your home away from home. The hotel restaurant staff were all pleasant and helpful, especially Giuseppe and Carlotta, the owner's delightful daughter! The hotel restaurant served wonderful meals at very reasonable prices. They also provided vegan meals for my partner who was able to enjoy several meals in the restaurant, which hasn't happened in the 3 years I've been with her. The breakfast, which is included, had some of the most tasty croissants I've had. There is also indoor and outdoor seating under a lovely Terrace. The hotel sits in front of a cobblestone beach that is met by an ocean full of surfers. Bonsai Beach Surf school is on the location. The beach also provides amazing sunset photo opportunities. The hotel is also pet friendly. The house dog, King Arthur is a sweetheart. While the hotel is actually in Santa Marinella, it is a pleasant walk to the Santa Servera Castle. The hotel itself was built and designed in the 1960s by Fabio's father. While the decor is a little bit dated, it has a charm and character that is warm and inviting, as well as walls covered by lots of artwork. Some of this artwork was created by the owner himself. Fabio started running the hotel, taking it over with his family in 1987. We feel like we have made new friends and family that we will see again in the future.

The pool and location in the coast is lovely! We were there for one night and spent the day by the pool. The staff were fantastic with our two kids. And very accommodating with writing our bags until our room was ready.

Very Roman resort, popular place for city folk to escape the summer heat. Small friendly town, probably not more than a dozen restaurants but good food shops. No night life when we were there but we went for 3 days R&R after full on sightseeing in Rome, so not a problem for us. Beach sandy and well served with (expensive) umbrellas. Castle at one end of beach worth a visit. BUT we were lucky with timings (3rd week in June and last week of Italian school exams). Our host says it's very busy to the point of crowded in July and August.
