What a superb hotel and stunning location. The hotel is very cosy, with a authentic Norwegion interior and fantastic view from our hotelroom. Beautiful rooms, restaurant and the bar was so homely with sofa’s, armchairs and a library. We felt like distinguished travellers from early 20th century. It even made us leave our mobile phones in the hotelroom. The lady at the reception was very friendly and we had a nice chat with her. She completed the homely feel! We regretted staying for just one night and will absolutely stay here again in the near future. We travel a lot but this was the most cosy hotel we have ever stayed in!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the amazing view. The hotel is perfectly situated to offer breathtaking vistas that you can enjoy from the comfort of your room, the lobby, or even the dining area.
One of the highlights of this experience was learning about history of the hotel. The 100+ year old establishment has a rich background, and the hotel has done an excellent job of preserving and showcasing its heritage. The hotel also offered a great variety of food options. My partner and I enjoyed the breakfast which included fresh fruits, pastries, meats and cheeses. The quality and variety of food options were greatly appreciated, and in addition to the amazing views and modest prices, left me feeling that the overall experience was excellent value for money.
The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always ready with a smile and quick to respond to any requests or questions I had. Their warm hospitality made me feel at home.
Overall, staying at Hotel Videsetor was a very enjoyable and unique experience, that I remember fondly as a highlight of my trip around Europe. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Great view with balcony, very clean, comfortable bed
The hotel lives out of the “good days” 20 years ago.
The hotel lives out of the “good days” 20 years ago. Ventilator was making noise at 10.00 pm, switched off only after a request. It was not possible to open window more than 2 centimeters. Very spacious dining rooms and restaurant , but small rooms (at least the ones not facing the road.

Hotel with long history (around 150 years of it) and a character. Nice and quiet. Personnel was welcoming and helpful. The views from the rooms are just amazing. You find yourself in the middle of the mountains far from civilization. You have plenty of opportunities for hiking and cycling or just relaxing on your couch, looking at the mountains. No TV in the room and who would need one anyway with the view through the window.
It's not a fancy modern hotel and that is what is good about it. If you want luxury, that's not the place for you. If you want genuine place with history, quietness and amazing nature, then you will love this hotel. It's not cheap, but that's normal for Norway and close to Geiranger fjord.
Be advised that buffet dinner is not included in the price of the room (only breakfast) and it is not cheap either.
