Bishop is a small town that offers a bunch of outdoor recreation. We mainly go for the rock climbing in the area. It is also a great stop if you're headed to Mammoth, June Lake, Yosemite, etc. from the south. It's more or less our home away from home. Due to the small nature of the town, it's very easy to meet locals that you could possibly see on your next visit, and it's easy to get around and to know which spots to get gas and food from. For food, we recommend the taco truck (Taqueria mi Guadalajara), Indiego, and Erick Schat's. For climbing gear, my favorite would be the mammoth gear exchange.

We just stayed for the night on our way out of Yosemite NP. Hard to comment with that limited stay. Getting to the City is easy if you love Sierra mountains. You need a taxi. I would explore Bishop more in future. Nice access point to Sierra.

Bishop is a wonderful place for outdoor activities pretty much anytime of year. I had passed through town many times and finally had the opportunity to to spend a week. I barely scratched the surface of this small town. I would start the day at Pupfish Cafe or Black Sheep Coffee Roasters for coffee and a light breakfast. Spellbinder Books was definitely worth a visit as I found a few books to add to my traveling collection. There are off-road and hiking trails all around the surrounding area, with plenty of camping and fishing opportunities as well. The Laws Railroad Museum is a surprising treat.

I love Bishop & the Eastern Sierra... I come here often and generally come to Bishop for Mule Days each year but have also come for a Pack Trip and also fishing. I love this little town and the ability to walk down the main street to eat & shop... this trip we did some fishing and had great success.

Always a good stay with friendly staff and simple...
Always a good stay with friendly staff and simple accommodations that are sufficient to get a good night rest and also make friendships. Super convenient and clean. I would suggest they add a compost bin to their trash and recycling bin area.
Fantastic location in Bishop - 1 minute to the bakery, the proximity of Sierra Nevada trails, and a good layover spot on the way to Yosemite.
The object has everything you might need - a common kitchen is well equipped, same applies to the grill and relax areas. You can relax by the fireplace on the cooler evenings. The staff is friendly, helpful and specialty coffee is complimentary in the morning.
The design is also very cozy and nice, cleanliness is perfect.
Actually I come through Bishop once or twice a year because I just love the Eastern Slop of the Sierras. Bishop is about a little more than half way to my destination. I don’t eat at your breakfast, not because it’s not good but because of the warm apple fritters at Schatt’s bakery. I come from San Diego and check in and usually head up to Mammoth for dinner.
Always enjoy my stay at your hotel.
All was well. The room size is PERFECT. the beds are incredibly comfortable. I LOVE the second sink outside the bath room, it's so useful.
The coffee maker is helpful. the front staff is friendly and efficient. I greatly like your hotel.
Finally, taking a room on the ground floor is SO convenient to transport one's stuff into the room through the sliding door.
Great room, equiped with coffeemaker, microwave and fridge, clean and nice bathroom, good bed. Friendly staff. We didn't really notice much of the negative remarks other reviews mentioned. Yes, sometimes you could hear your neighbor a little bit, but it wasn't that bad. And the room looked quite modern (we've seen more dated interiors in other hotels).
Perfect located very clean balcony room, comfortable 2 king size beds, coffee maker, flat screen cable tv, free wifi.
Bishop Creek runs through the hotel grounds beautiful garden outdoor sitting , hot tub and swimming pool.
The perfect place for nice stay.
Trees Motel has become our go to place in Bishop! The beds are comfortable, the sheets are high quality, the rooms are clean, and the staff is awesome. Yes it's dated, but it's comfortable and a great deal. Highly recommended!
The room was super SUPER comfortable, very cozy and extremely clean. The bed was amazing. I would definitely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone passing through the Bishop area! Thank you.
The property is in a good location on Bishop's main street. It was the best price available close to Mamooth, and the staff were nice. I liked the Bishop area. There are many good places to eat and drink.
Very nice old house. Great common spaces. Clean and in the middle of bishop so you can easily walk anywhere you need in town. The private room was large, and comfortable. No storage space tho.
The room was clean, spacious, and pet-friendly, which was all we needed after a long drive with our dog. The hot tub was also great! We will stay again on our next drive through Bishop.
This hotel is a great value. It was nothing fancy, but it was very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were nice. Would stay here again.
The room was big, cozy and clean with a balcony facing the swimming pool. The pool was nice and open till late. The hotel sign is every instagram's account dream.
