The hotel bares the name of "Hotel & Spa", however, the actual spa service is extra. The hotel does have an outdoor pool which guests could use for free. However, it was impractical in the cold raining winter. The actual spa with the indoor pools, however aren't free. Guests have to pay $49 for a day pass. We was surprised to find out we had to pay extra for the spa pool. In addition, there was a waiting list for the pools and bath house, so, the service was not guaranteed if you are willing to pay. We wish the website would have that information.

I felt it was pretty, but it didn’t really have the choice of restaurants. I felt Napa was definitely the place to stay and they had more restaurants and more places to eat breakfast. Sonoma was a bit small.

Just an hour or so outside San Francisco, Sonoma is a picturesque city set among the vineyards in Northern California. It features a beautiful square with galleries, shops and restaurants. They often feature live music in the square. Great for a long weekend, the vineyards offer tours and tastings. There is also a wonderful cheese shop there. If you enjoy being active, don’t miss the hiking/biking trails in the area.

It is a quiet and over-looked town! MUST SEE! They have a cute downtown Sonoma Plaza, with a Visitor Bureau with free coupons (2 for 1 wine tasting), lots of cute and varied shops and restaurants. There are also a lot of museums and the Sonoma Mission right there. We visited Buena Vista, Gundlach Bundschu, and Jacuzzi wineries--ALL were beautiful! We had a great dining experience at Sonoma Grill and Bar in the back terrace.

Downtown Sonoma is a quaint town with cafes, galleries, a movie theater, and most importantly, two ice cream shops (we chose the Chocolate Cow). We also found a wonderful hike nearby called Sonoma Overlook in the downtown area. About 1.3 miles up for a beautiful view of the city.

The foods we tried were all delicious.
The foods we tried were all delicious. The town square and park were quaint as well as the city itself. I loved the architecture of the homes in the downtown area. The area is very walkable and there were many unique shops.
The hotel grounds were some of the nicest that we've seen. Lots of choices for breakfast. The staff...office, breakfast room, anywhere around the hotel...were very friendly and helpful. Pool area was clean and attractive. We appreciated that the beds were changed every three days unless you requested otherwise. We never change them daily at home and with the lack of water issue we feel the Pueblo is on the right track. Having said this, you could request any supplies you might run out of and they would be at your door very quickly.
Nice room in a nice location and was well positioned to explore the town.
We had arrived having stayed at The Coachman's Inn at Carmel and had benefitted from the service and the experience there. In isolation our experience at The Inn at Sonoma was good and it's only that The Coachman's Inn had a better and more interesting breakfast and the 'nibbles' at the afternoon wine tasting were more varied and tasty, and our room there was bigger.
Excellent car parking (some covered), a hot tub and fitness room were available.
We spent a very memorable two nights at 'An Inn to Remember'
A lovely room with a comfortable bed and luxurious sheets. We had a delightful deck on which to sit and enjoy drinks in the evening and breakfast in the morning. A perfect location too, as it was only a few steps from the square in central Sonoma. We would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast.
The staff was amazing and friendly. The facility was beautiful with a rustic Italian kind of vibe. It was quite and relaxing. But, still a very close to downtown Sonoma and within a close enough drive to some of the wineries. I would definitely come back to stay again!! Very intimate, boutique hotel. Beautiful! Thank you for having us!!!
We loved the location in the middle of Sonoma Plaza. There is a restaurant and bar at the hotel. But there are many dining choices and wine bars in the plaza that you can walk to. There is also a pool on the property, which was refreshing after our wine event.
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again.
Was the most elegant hotel we have stayed
I’m on our trip to California. very relaxed atmosphere, fabulous food and menu. room was very comfortable and it was clear the hotel had reinvested in updating the hotel so it wasn’t tired like the other places we stayed in. the location is perfect.
We are great fans of the Sonoma Plaza. This hotel is right on the corner of the plaza and so everything around the Plaza is within walking distance. There is a fabulous restaurant in the ground floor of the hotel and we had an excellent dinner on their patio.
It is conveniently located near downtown Sonoma. It's a square or plaza with great restaurants, wine tasting, and shops. It's also close to various Sonoma wineries. They provide coffee and pastries in the morning and friendly staff that offer recommendations!
The hotel is small in the center of Sonoma . Walking distance from restaurants, shopping center etc..
The staff is nice, willing to help , and every time you asked for something missing in breakfast they will make sure to refill.
It was a cozy inn with nothing much to complain about. Little amenities such as wine and breakfast were appreciated. Really felt Karen and Larry tried their absolute best to be hospitable and make us feel welcome. Had a great stay
The location was right on the square and made it very convenient for shopping and dining. Hotel was very nice and staff was great. Tasting room on the first floor. Complimentary on-site parking.
This little gem couldn’t have been in a better location to enjoy Sonoma Square. It had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The private hot tub was a bonus.
Sonoma wasn't quite what I'd hoped as a town, but this accommodation was so cute! Comfy bed, quiet room, and flanked by a super popular restaurant. Would stay again.
