A few steps from Lake Brienz. The apartment was nice and cosy. The hosts are really friendly and was a nice gesture to leave some useful stuff already in the kitchen to use (coffee, oil etc). This was really helpful as the supermarket was closed by the time we arrived. This property is closer to the Brienz West station, so stop over there instead of the main station, and you can walk to the apt in 2-3 minutes.

I travelled with my parents, wofe and 2 kids. Lovely owners. Superb location(beautiful views), very clean, spacious, all excellent amenities in the room..just perfect I had to leave a day earlier due to personal reasons and even though i paid in full they returned a days cost back to be in cash..now i dont think many do that! Just makes the place so reliable and trustworthy. I would definitely go there again..its in the best part of Switzerland and close to brienze, interlaken etc..

Wow!!! What a place!!! Beautiful. The perfect/ idyllic place for a winter getaway! It's extremely relaxing and peaceful. The Burehüsli is in stunning location with breath taking views. Great base for travelling around. The house was spotless clean and welcoming. It had everything you need and more...! We had excellent night sleeps in super comfy beds. The hosts are so lovely,very accommodating, responsive and very,very helpful. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Burehüsli in Axalp. It surpassed all our expectations!! It's truly hidden gem. We didn't want to leave and would love to come back one day. I would highly recommend this accommodation!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH 😃

A good budget place for 2-3 nights stay in the country side, a good base for exploring the mountains - about 45 min drive from Stechelberg and Grindenwald, 10min from Brienz. A restaurant on site with hearty Swiss food (rosti and desserts were delicious) at good prices where locals eat - it gets booked up so best to book on the weekend (you can have the food also in the apartment if it's full). The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We didn't try breakfast as the dinner plates were huge. The heaters were on when we arrived. A nice Jura coffee machine prefilled with beans.
