When my driver edged up the narrow-inclined driveway of this very modern home, I didn’t know what to expect. But Pearle and her husband Ranjan greeted me with broad smiles and open arms. After they had retired, they built this sophisticated home on their family’s property. Since the terrain of Matale is mostly mountainous, their home is perched up high on a small hill, allowing a beautiful view of the city from their wide terrace. Communication was swift and efficient as their daughter fielded email questions from the UK. English was spoken perfectly by all members of the family, so no worries for any miscommunication. I had arrived in the late afternoon and Pearle offered me tea. Ranjan returned with some short eats and we sat around chatting. The conversation was easy and I felt like I was visiting good friends for the afternoon. My room was located just off their living room with an adjacent bathroom with contemporary fixtures – it felt like I was in a fancy hotel! The stylish room with extremely high ceilings was spacious and tastefully decorated with an enormous mosquito net tied with ribbons around the large four poster bed. There is a portable air conditioner/fan which was not really needed as the evenings are usually cool and temperate. Breakfast was a luxurious feast with red rice string hoppers, potato curry, dal, green gram and a delicious, spicy chicken curry. Watermelon, pineapple, and sweet juicy papaya from their garden rounded out the meal. After retirement, Pearle turned her interests to cooking and she is certainly an accomplished cook! My only regret was staying only one night and will certainly come back for a longer visit!

From cool misty mornings to clear, refreshing afternoons, each moment was filled with wonder. Even during sunrise, the weather remained comfortable, adding to the overall charm of the location. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Their genuine care and dedication to providing a top-notch experience reflected true Sri Lankan hospitality. Additionally, the view from the place was incredibly interesting. We were treated to vistas of mountains, paddy fields, and pristine natural environments. It truly felt like a natural and green heaven, offering a serene and calming atmosphere. Staying here felt like a form of meditation, enhancing the relaxation and rejuvenation of our vacation. Overall, our stay at A Frame Riverston was nothing short of magical, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat amidst stunning natural beauty.

Heavens Acres Lodge está en Matale, a 44 km de Centro comercial Kandy City Centre, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, wifi gratis, cocina compartida y servicio de habitaciones. The lodge had a beautiful and peaceful garden filled with trees, creating a serene atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary tools and appliances, including pots, pans, a gas cooker, fridge, and washing machine. The rooms were also nicely arranged and had everything we needed. The bathroom was well-maintained and clean. Overall, it was the best stay we've ever had.

Riverston Nature Villa está a 41 km de Centro comercial Kandy City Centre y ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza. To be honest this was an amazing place to spend the night in Knuckles . In my vist to Knuckles area (Riverston) I was struggled to find a good place to stay. But I was very fortunate to find accommodation here in Nature Villa. To be honest they provided the best customer service they could provide.(Special tanks to caretaker women Diviya) It's worth that to mention they have some delicious foods too.Thanks a lot Riverston Nature Villa and team for treating so well.I Highly recommend this place for accommodation to everyone who are planning to visit knuckles (Riverston)

Florence Cottage se encuentra en Beddegama, a 27 km de Estadio Internacional de Críquet de Pallekele, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, wifi gratis, servicio de habitaciones y recepción 24 horas. Loved this place… a real gem with stunning views and very attentive, helpful staff. Food very good too and plenty of it. Very private, you have whole place to yourself. Sitting area with kitchen facilities.

El Hatale Tea Estate Bungalow se encuentra en medio de exuberantes plantaciones de té, a solo 1 km del Hatale Tea Centre. Es un sitio impresionante, entre montañas y plantas de te. Te sientes como en una película, en la era colonial. El personal del hotel es encantador y atento de cualquier alquiler cosa. La comida excelente. La visita a la factoría de te es muy interesante. Allí compramos varios kilos del mejor te a buen precio. Perfecto para perderse unos días y respirar naturaleza.

I stayed here today with my friends. I booked the hotel for them and we traveled by car. So there was enough space for vehicles. You will get many facilities during your stay. Staff is 100% polite. Kitchen and equipment provided even they have a full board menu. Room was clean and equipped with everything we wanted. Night ambiance is awesome and the best of the best is the amazing pool. We stayed at the pool until 11 PM night since we couldn't leave the pool that was cool. Pool lights , clean water and the pool is covered from the garden fence so privacy around pool was enough for the girls. The person who catered us was very polite and very supportive. Even provided a mobile phone to contact room service.
