When you book a villa, you get the whole villa for yourself, a nice bedroom with good wifi and television. The bathroom is very nice and clean. The villa is newly built, and a modern look. You get a private pool with an amazing view over the lake, with water buffalos, peacocks, birds, lizards and even crocodiles! At sunset, giant bats fly over the area and gives an amazing view (don't worry, they don't get close). The hotel had arranged a safari for us and it was great. When we came back in the morning the staff had amazing breakfast ready for us. And after that we enjoyed the day at our own pool. The staff later recommended that we took a boat tour at the lake, and it was really nice. The hotel had arranged a tuktuk for us, and the boat tour was so relaxing watching birds and crocodiles. After going off the boat, the tuktuk took us to see where all the giant bats 'hang out', which were in trees right next to the lake. The hotel can make you all kinds of food whenever you like. They can make both local food or international food. The Prices are fair, and the food is very good. The staff are really nice and kind people. They had our clothes laundered, and some of my clothes needed some sewing, and a member of the staff was so kind and offered to have his wife fix it for me within hours. We only stayed for two nights, but we wish we had stayed for much longer.

The property consists of a 3 bedroom villa and a one bedroom bungalow. Each bedroom is ensuite with bathtubs and outdoor rain showers that are full of tropical plants. Both the villa and bungalow have open plan living room/kitchens and private outdoor dining areas with large teak tables. With any doubt, this accommodation is the best accommodation in Sri Lanka

Such a pleasure to stay here! Clean room, beautiful serene pool area and garden. Food was great (We had curry both evenings) and the breakfast even greater, still craving the porridge! Safari and ride to our next accomodation was set up with no problems. Perfect place for a (safari-) getaway, don’t expect too much hassle, restaurants or shops nearby (a few km drive to a supermarket and fridge in room so you’ll probably have everything you need by the hand still.) If in Sri Lanka, I want to come back for a longer time to just soake in the calmness!

It was so peaceful just sitting on our balcony watching the animals walk and fly by. The two guys taking care of the place were very professional, friendly and accomadating. The included breakfast was amazing too! Definitely worth staying here!

We had a great stay with Udara and his family being so hospitable and even decorating the place for our son's birthday and helping us find a cake. The hosts prepared us an amazing dinner, actually it was one of our highlight meals for our trip! Breakfast was nicely packed for us for our safari. We loved this place and would absolutely stay again.

Cabanas are near the river and surrounded by garden which provides a little safari in front of your window: tens of birds, monitor lizards, mongooses and many others. Real gem. Try it!!!
