Situated in Kroonstad, Retief Guest Farm provides an outdoor swimming pool, garden and barbecue facilities. This farm stay features free private parking and room service. Breakfast served in room although in warmer weather one would sit just outside the door at table and chairs in secluded pleasant garden setting. B'fast was fruit juice, amazing muesli and sausage and eggs and a few bits and pieces. The worker (very pleasant lady) who brought the b'fast enquired if she should set the outside table but I said I would sit inside as weather cool. There was a table to eat at in the studio. Accom was good quality, clean and well designed for max space. No propblems there. Easy to find 1 km off N2 about 3 km south of Kroonstadt. I suggest phone when you turn off the highway to ensure you stay on correct unsealed but well maintained road. Variety of and plenty accomodation so probably would get in at last minute. Host Veronika pleasant and switched on. Plenty of thick bush and riverine habitat. Saw large herd of springbok and about 5 Sable antelope. Security appeared to be good.

Will certainly make this an annual trip.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Clarens on Collett is a recently renovated holiday home situated in Clarens, 27 km from Golden Gate Highlands National Park. It was the perfect holiday. Accommodation couldn't have been better. Superb appointments. We wanted for nothing. Attention to every minute detail. We loved every single second of our visit and will return.

Golden View - Oak on Church is a holiday home located in Clarens. Free private parking is available on site. A gem of a place! Decorated with love and had everything we needed. The pictures does not do this lovely home justice!

Set in Clarens, near Art and Wine Gallery on Main and Blou Donki Gallery, The Red Door is a recently renovated property, featuring, a garden and barbecue facilities. The place was really beautiful and well equipped. Paula was really helpful and friendly. I will for sure go there again. Thank you very much.

Located in Clarens in the Free State region and Golden Gate Highlands National Park reachable within 25 km, Periwinkle Grove Cottage provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and... The location is perfect, very close to the center but still away from the hustle so you feel the peace and tranquility. The host was very responsive and the cottage cosy and perfect!
