Lovely and quiet but only 3 tram stops from the city centre. Great having a pool as it was hot while we were there. Our host was fantastic and very friendly and helpful. They tried to create a French environment for their guests.

Maison d'hôtes Alma is situated at walking distance from the train and bus station. It is a lovely oasis in a quiet neighbourhood, from which Bordeaux can be explored by foot of rental bike (e.g. Lime). Staying here was such a treat; even with 39 degrees C, indoor comfort was pleasant. The house is beautifully and sustainably decorated, with a green small terrace at the back, kitchen and living space that can be used by the guests. Inès was a perfect host, for nice chats, preparing healthy breakfast and giving advice on everything possible. I felt very much at home here and will certainly be back when in Bordeaux again.

The hosts at La Chartreuse were very hospitable and kind to us, we had a very good experience overall and I would highly recommend staying here. The room was very clean, access was easy and the breakfast was fantastic.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The host waited up to check me in as I had a late flight. She also allowed me to leave my bag in the property after checking out until I needed to go the airport. She was a very nice lady.

The entire team was so welcoming and caring. The living room and outdoor area was beautiful. They helped book restaurants, tours and gave recommendations for where to go. The breakfast is delicious, homemade, and we even had a chance to eat it on the rooftop terrace! The room itself was glamourous (we had the rooftop suite, and only thing to note is the shower is outside, which is kind of cool). Having the room to see the stars made it feel so cozy! Location was 10-15 minute walk from city center.
