Maria made all arrangements for our day tours, gave us tips and recommendations for eating out and places to see, and she and her team made our stay a pleasant one. "NOMORE" Gallery and Guesthouse is situated in the Kraton district of Yogyakarta, less than 1 km from Museum Sonobudoyo, a 13-minute walk from Fort Vredeburg and less than 1 km from Yogyakarta... Rolly and Lala are fantastic hosts, we loved our stay in their homestay, which is in great walking locations from main areas and in the middle of a neighborhood. We would definetly advise anyone coming to Yogakarta to stay here. The rooms are set with great care, look wonderful with cute art and plants ( Understandably as one of them is a local artist!). They have fans to help with the heat and the futons are very comfortable. Also nice having deemer lights for the evening, not something we had often during our trip around South East Asia. It is a cold shower but that was not a problem for us in this heat, bathroom was nice and clean and again stylish! Kitchen access available for tea and coffee during the day& hot drink and lovely breakfast daily- we had the egg sandwich& fruits and coffee each time but they offered other dishes also. They made us a pack breakfast the morning we left ridiculously early for a sunrise tour. They provided us with advice on tours/things to do and we loved watching some of their traditional celebrations on our last night. We enjoyed learning about their culture and tradition a lot.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of mountain, Blue Garden Yogyakarta is a recently renovated guest house located in Yogyakarta, 11 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Garden. Friendly staff, spacious pool and good breakfast. We extended our stay and stayed for one week because it was so nice and quite.

Ndalem Suryo Saptono Guest House is situated in Yogyakarta, 2.7 km from Yogyakarta Tugu Train Station, 3.1 km from Tugu Monument, as well as 3.1 km from Malioboro Mall. We had a lovely stay at Naya's house. We decided to order breakfast and we enjoyed it so much! Lovely patio at our villa as well, we had the breakfast there, every morning. The beds are super comfy, the rooms are big, but we mostly loved the patio where we worked as well.

This is an amazing place if you want to immerse yourself into local culture. The host family was extremely helpful and provided me with lots of local experiences and ideas. If possible ask the host to help you with a ride to the airport or your next destination. I did and he was more of a local tour than transport. Can’t recommend this family enough.

ViaVia Guesthouse is located in Yogyakarta, a 15-minute drive from the lively Malioboro shopping street and Yogyakarta Palace. It features free internet, a café and rooms with modern décor. Rooms were nice and clean, also the garden was a good spot for relaxing! :) the people from ViaVia are soooo nice and made our stay unforgettable. We stayed 4 nights instead of 2 as originally planned. Thank you so much guys, it was a pleasure to stay at your place! :)
