The bed was comfortable and cubicle was spacious. Showers and bidet toilets were always clean. There were lots of thoughtful and free convenience items like a shoe dryer and extra hangers, irons, slacks presser, and cords/outlet converters in each cubicle. The staff were helpful, friendly, and responsive both in person and online.

Amazing view, well decorated, clean and comfortable sleep, and friendly hosts. Lovely beach with hammocks to chill. 30 min walk to Movie village. Bus timings are infrequent but it was okay with some planning. Host is friendly to help and advise!

First things first: this is a welcoming place. I enjoyed my short time at Kotohira a lot and a huge reason for that was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the guesthouse. The host (heart and soul of this traditional house in central location) is a bubbly and passionate traveller himself that has seen so many places in Japan and around the world. He is really interested in your own experiences while you travel in the region and he can give you a lot of recommendations. Even though this guest house is in the north of Shikoku, he provided me with travel and commuting advices for Hokkaido. And: I loved the traditional house in central but quiet location. My roomy female dormitory (for 2 people) was lovely decorated. It felt a bit like in a treasure museum. The bath facilities are modern and the kitchen is well equipped (free coffee). So, if you wanna stay in a friendly place where you can recharge travel energy and get freshly inspired, pick this guest house.

Location was excellent, near the famous garden in Takamatsu and also not far from the JR Takamatsu station. Perfect living-room space, and very clean sleeping space

Sunny Day Hostel is set in Takamatsu, within 3.4 km of Asahi Green Park and 5.8 km of Cormorant Shrine. Nice homestay managed by a person who could speak very well in English. Great experience for a special room setup and special Japanese breakfast which is really delicious. Quiet place with easy access to nearby walking covered shopping, restaurant street. Will certainly be visiting this place again in my near future and special thanks to the host who had giving us lots of guidance on the local attraction!
