Plaza Mayor is set in the main square of the Medieval town of Villafranca de Bierzo, in the town centre. It offers functional rooms with free WiFi and a flat-screen satellite TV. Location was fantastic in main square. Restaurants and cafés all within minutes. Comfortable spacious room with great views. Two big single beds together made for a huge double. Very comfortable mattress and pillows. Parking was not a problem although not at hotel it was free onstreet parking. Lovely view from room.

Maria the daughter of the house went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable as possible, making recommendations for outings and phone calls to arrange a winery visit (difficult as harvest time) and lunch, and bringing hot water for our morning tea. excellent local wines and very good local traditional food.
