Situated in the picturesque village of Inkpen, the Crown and Garter is a traditional English pub with stylish rooms, a restaurant and bakery. It opens onto a lovely garden. The reviews for The Crown and Garter are really good, some say it's a good place for one night.. I'm looking forward to going back for longer and using it as a base to explore the area. I was really impressed with the service, food and facilities. Very well priced for what they're offering. The food is really good and the bedrooms are really comfortable, with every convenience thought of. The courtyard outside all the rooms is a beautiful place to sit down. We enjoyed some local walks and taking some treats with us from the bakery. A really friendly place with a lovely little dog to welcome you!

Very easy parking and access. Clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The Bear Hotel is a historic inn set in the charming market town of Hungerford in the heart of the North Wessex Downs. We arrived very late cause of a delay, but their welcome made us forget the delay! Never seen friendlier staff, so helpful. I could not say anything bad about our stay here! As for the location, it was very beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. We really liked the old fashion style, with a modern touch. I forgot my E-reader and they notified me straight away and made sure to send it to the Netherlands. That's why they deserve the full 10 points for service as well, it's hard to find staff as friendly and helpful as the people working in this hotel.

Angliai kiruccanásunk egyik célállomása közelében találtam erre a kis faluban lévő szállásra. A panzió autentikus hangulata tetszetős, a bár és az étterem kialakítása régi időket idéznek, mégis szépen karbantartottak. A kerthelység a sörpadjaival kiegészíti a bájos vidéki hangulatot. Kellemes hely eltölteni ott a késő délután hátralévő részét és elfogyasztani a kedvesen felszolgált ízletes és bőséges vacsorát. Az étterem felett lévő 6-os szoba tágas és világos, a hozzá tartozó fürdőszobával együtt. Felhallatszott ugyan az étteremben épp valamilyen eseményt ünneplők szórakozása, de voltunk annyira fáradtak, hogy nem tudta eléggé zavarni az elalvásunkat.
