Situated in Tzununá, 35 km from Volcano Atitlan, EL PICNIC ATITLÁN features accommodation with a garden, private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Guests can make use of a bar. We had the most wonderful experience at the Picnic Atitlan. Everything was amazing from the room open on the nature to the food which was delicious. Every morning we had the most unique breakfast with the view on the lake and volcano and the night an excellent dinner cooked directly from the chef behind the bar. The service is just perfect and all the staff is taking really good care of you. The view is breathtaking. The room was very comfortable, specially the bed. One of the best hotel I have been so far. I will definitely come back if I have the opportunity and recommend this place to everyone around the world.

This is one of those places where, were I a selfish guy, I would not review it to keep it a secret (which it surely isn't). This place is heaven on earth, a place of serene beauty, calm, and relaxation. The rustic charm is absolutely perfect. Everywhere a place to hide and let your soul, rest, be it in one of the many hammocks or one little niched stone bench. The various views of the majestic Lake Atitlán from the various levels and terraces invite to explore. You can really soak up the atmosphere of the place - just .... magical. The owners took great effort in creating a place of effortless beauty, a place where you feel immediately welcomed and absorbed by the geography and scenery. If you want to really, deeply breath in the essence of Lake Atitlán and, dare I say, the essence of Guatemalan hospitality as such, spend a night. You'll wish you could stay forever.
Tzampoc Resort

Offering an outdoor pool and a hydro-massage hot tub, Tzampoc Resort is located in Santa Catarina Palopó. What a fabulous stay! We absolutely loved our experience here and after doing a lot of research believe it may be the nicest property on the entire lake. Facilities were beautiful with stunning views from the rooms and infinity pool. Staff were world-class, always smiling, energetic, friendly, and ready to say yes. They truly went above and beyond. Bartender Cristian is the best! Our upgraded room was spectacular and newly remodeled with a beautiful tub overlooking the lake. Breakfast, dinner, and drinks at the pool bar were all excellent. The hotel also arranged for a great couples massage, laundry service, and a private boat tour of the lake. Thanks so much and we will be back!!

The millenium apartment was a perfect experience. The location is very close to the dock for Santiago and a short, easy walk to the main tourist areas of town. It is sparkling clean, spacious, and includes access to a full kitchen, hammocks, and rooftop deck with a beautiful view of the lake, volcano, and town. The host (Miguel) is friendly, helpful, and offers free laundry services as well as personal tour of the town and area. He made my experience in San Pedro into the highlight of my entire holiday in Guatemala. 10/10, fantastic experience.

The most amazing hotel. From the staff, to the grounds, to the food and the service, this hotel was the most wonderful place. My fiancée asked me to marry him there and there genuinely would not have been a more special surrounding. Astrid was also amazing as were all the staff we interacted with. The private rooms lower floors looked just as nice (just not a full wall-big sliding glass door.
