Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. The hotel is beautiful and well constructed, as well as really well decorated. The rooms are big eniugh and have a great heating system. The bathroom is also good. The water smells a little bit like sulphur, but that happens in several region on Iceland and is not something super strong.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Great place to have a stop for the night when entering the fjords. Good food friendly staff. And the hottub with the sauna makes it better.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. The hotel was nice with comfortable bed and pillow. The products in the bathroom were a nice surprise. The staff was kind and helpful. Standard tea and coffee facilities.

Hotel Studlagil is offering accommodation in Skjöldólfsstaðir. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel has a restaurant and a bar. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, all rooms come with a desk. Very comfortable stay. Proximity to Studlagil gorge and amazing staff. Hrafndis was a wonderful hostess.

Set in Eiðar, 49 km from Hengifoss, Eiðar - Hostel offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is located 33 km from Gufufoss. It's clean and there was only one couple when we were there so we had the whole place for ourselves. Big kitchen, small rooms but very nice.

Hotel Eskifjörður is located in Eskifjörður. Free WiFi access is available. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer. You can enjoy mountain view from the room. Breakfast was good. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the food! The rooms were spacious and quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us find a good restaurant on town. We recommend this hotel.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. Very nice room, everything was clean, hot tubs

This design hotel is located in Fáskrúdsfjördur village in Iceland’s Eastfjords region. It offers free parking and tastefully decorated rooms with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. Nothing not to like. Clean and comfortable. Very quiet, and we had a room overlooking the water.

Set in Seydisfjördur village, this accommodation offers rooms with free WiFi. Egilsstadir village is 28 km away. The property also offers on-site free parking. We liked everything. Excellent location in the beautiful Seyðisfjörður, historic house, nice furnishings, comfortable and clean room. Although not included, I recommend their typical delicious buffet breakfast.
