My room had a little balcony that added to the comfort. I was looking for a peaceful place close to the beach where I could work for a few days, and Makaazi didn't disappoint. On weekends, they have a live band that I appreciated listening from afar. Definitely recommend the place!

I highly recommend Saffron Garden to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience in the Kenyan Riviera.

The lodge is set in a breathtaking location on the beachfront amongst the mangroves. Every detail of the place is well taken care of and well thought. The design of the rooms and bungalows is wonderful, and the rooms are aired by the beachfront breeze. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind - we can commend all of them and in particular manager Rufus, cook George, Sami, Asthman and Aisha. They made sure we had the best stay. We loved the food - the breakfasts are amazing - and would recommend asking George to cook a seafood platter with fresh fish caught on the day. We also much enjoyed kayaking at sunset amongst the mangroves and relaxing with a drink by the pool.

Its amazing place. We had the room with a fantastic view on the ocean. Maximum score to the hotel staff. Everyone is very polite and always ready to help. We truly enjoyed staying in this place. Delicious food, once we waited quite a long time for the main course for dinner, but it didn’t spoil our stay. I will recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely return myself the next time I visit Kenya.
