Khan River Lodge is a secluded location, wild and highly scenic, surrounded by private land. It is about 20 km off the B2 road, which we did not quite realize until we got there. The drive itself is a lot of fun, as we saw lots of wildlife, but it is a mix of sand and dirt, challenging for smaller cars without 4WD. The property is cozy, with only about six double-occupancy units, of which we were occupying two (we were traveling as two adults and two older children). The "restaurant" is the lodge kitchen: two wonderful ladies preparing delicious meals and serving them in style. There is no posted menu, but the daily food offerings are artfully presented and tasty, based on local produce and meat. We did not realize we would be the only guests -- and we booked the self-catering option, counting on eating at the restaurant. We had booked self-catering options in other locations, but never realized how remote this one was. Upon arrival, we learned that the expectation for "self-catering" was that we would bring our own food and not need the restaurant. Since the property was just opening after the New Year holiday, they had to scramble a bit, but were kind enough to accommodate (read: feed) us. We loved the meals and the ambiance, the quiet, the lack of light pollution at night, the variety of wildlife roaming around the property, and the laid-back atmosphere -- self-service honesty bar, well-stocked and open to us at all hours.

I absolutely loved the warm welcome and how accommodating the venue is. The rooms are spacious. The location is walking distance from everything. The breakfast is phenomenal and the special touch of dog treats on a plate made our day. We felt welcome and special. We also loved the little bakery and the freshly baked bread.

Wir hatten zwei sehr große, geräumige und komfortable Apartments mit Blick aufs Meer. Die Ausstattung war außergewöhnlich. Eine Dachterrasse mit Liegen und kleinem Pool hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Das Personal war überaus zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Die einzigartig gestaltete Beach Lodge in Swakopmund verfügt über ein Restaurant, eine Bar und einen Grillplatz. Great beach hotel. It is what it says -- a great little hotel RIGHT ON THE BEACH. The pictures are true... our patio door walked right out onto that lovely green lawn and then to the beach. It was great that they offered a family room, it had a nice patio and small fridge and coffee/tea station. It wasn't the most elegant decor, but it was clean and completely met our needs for a beach get away. Free parking -- it was tight to get to our assigned spot, but the car gaurd was always on duty to help ease one into the space.

Das Swakopmund Sands mit Blick auf den Atlantik liegt nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Bootsanleger und dem National Marine Aquarium entfernt und bietet einen Lounge- und Barbereich. Ich war mit meiner Mutter dort und ich mußte leider mit Ihr ins Krankenhaus,. Das Personal hat alles mögliche für uns unternommen um uns zu helfen und war für mich da. ich mußte den Aufenthalt um weitere drei Tage verlängern und es wurde mir so angenehm wie möglich gemacht Vom Putzpersonal bis zur Managerin haben sich alle um uns gesorgt, wie eine zweite Familie. Danke nochmals für all eure Hilfe und Unterstützung. ich konnte mir kein besseres Hotel vorstellen in dieser Situation.
