Newly built & open since September, 2022, this hotel was most notable for its very contemporary decor and amenities, such as a heated bathroom floor, heated bathroom towels, large shower stall, water conserving bathroom faucet, 4 USB charging outlets in the room (2 at the bedside), extremely comfortable king sized bed, phenomenal room views of Lake Tekapo and its surrounding snow-capped mountains, not to also mention the complimentary milk & coffee for the room. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful & professional.

Situated in Lake Tekapo, 46 km from Mt. Dobson, Galaxy Boutique Hotel features accommodation with a shared lounge and free private parking. Breakfast was nice, lots of warm food options to choose from. Rooms were clean, the interiors of the rooms are very modern. The skylight is fancy, too bad it was cloudy day and we couldnt see any stars.

The Godley Hotel offers country-style accommodation in the alpine village of Lake Tekapo on the South Island. The hotel is centrally located in the village with views of the lake and mountains. Incredible location and great facilities. Well worth it!

Featuring mountain views, 37 Galaxy B is located in Lake Tekapo, around 46 km from Mt. Dobson. The apartment also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. It is very clean, well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. Everything is so homey. The accessible bathroom is a bonus for our elderly family members. The host is also very kind and responsive, sending us reminder and everything we need to know. Among the eight different accommodations (motels, serviced apartment, hotels etc.) I stayed during my 2-week New Zealand trip, this place is on the top two :) Highly recommended!

Situated in Lake Tekapo in the Canterbury region, Two Thumbs Unit 1 features a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 46 km from Mt. Bathroom was spotless and much larger than I expected. Good water pressure, too. Kitchen was decently equipped. Hosts were responsive when we had questions about how to use certain appliances.

Set in Geraldine in the South Canterbury region The Fishers@33 features a garden This bed and breakfast features a terrace. The bed and breakfast consists of 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom. The grounds were beautiful with vegetable and flower gardens, a walk through the woods, magnificent trees. The hosts went out of their way to welcome us, even showing us their personal museum and giving us interesting books to peruse. Geraldine was a cute town with great Indian food.
