Blackfern Lodge in Waimiha has 4-star accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hotel features a hot tub and a shared kitchen. It’s a great spot well worth the extra 6km cycle off the trail to get there for those doing the TT. An oasis in the middle of dense bush. Rachael and Mark are fabulous hosts. We will be back.

Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. The location was incredible! The staff was very friendly. The facilities seemed a bit older, but mostly quite clean.

Set in Ohakune, 19 km from Turoa, Snowman Cabins offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The property features a bar, as well as a spa and wellness... Loved our cabin, absolutely spotlessly clean. We ate in the Thai restaurant at the cabins, food was gorgeous!

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. great location close to train station, comfortable room with balcony, nice restaurant.

Set in Taumarunui, Central Park Motor Inn has a restaurant, bar, spa and wellness centre, and free WiFi. The property features a seasonal outdoor pool, fitness centre, sauna and garden. We were told on arrival that they were fully booked and the manager didn’t know how we were allowed to book the stay through Booking.com, we are so glad and grateful that the manager was able to shuffle some other guests around so we could have a room

Snowman Lodge and Spa is centrally located in the town centre of Ohakune which is the gateway to Ski Ruapehu, Turoa, Whakapapa and the famous Tongariro National Park. Sauna and Jacuzzi l, the room and everything for an affordable price

Set in Ohakune and only 37 km from Mount Ruapehu, The Gables B&B offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We stayed in Gables B & B for two nights. The rooms are nice and cosy, and everything needed is available. The hosts are really friendly, always reachable and they even treated us with a bottle of wine. Highly recommended!

The Inn At The Convent is situated in Taumarunui and offers a terrace. This bed and breakfast has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. June was delightful and exuded Kiwi hospitality! We enjoyed kind of a down day on our 2 month trip thru New Zealand and Junes place was perfect! Loved our little day walks and her location is perfect.

Two Rivers Ohakune features free WiFi and views of mountain in Ohakune. The accommodation features ski storage space, a drying room and a hot tub. Guests can enjoy river views. Absolutely loved our stay here! Our room was beautiful and we loved soaking in the hot tub and listening to the river in the evening. The breakfast and treats were much appreciated! Highly recommend!
