Viesnīca Dom Dinis Marvão atrodas Marvaunas pils sienu ieskāvumā, Marvaunas augstā ciemata virsotnē. The place is very cozy and really well located, very close to the castle. The room was great, very well decorated and a beautiful view. The staff is very friendly and helped us for a dinner reservation in a close restaurant, with great food.

Surrounded by the lush forests of the São Mamede Mountains in Portalegre, this former convent is decorated with several historic armours, weapons and antiques. We loved this fascinating historic building, which had features in abundance, and a mix of historic antiquities and modern comfortable accommodation. Our hostess, Sylvia was gracious, generous, and full of knowledge about the building and the area. She and her husband were eager to please us. We loved the breakfast too!!! We recommend this as an ideal place to stay, the longer the better. Come on Australians, and others, expand your horizons! And live it up in this magnificent place.

Set in Castelo de Vide and within 8.3 km of Roman City of Ammaia, CASA DO PAÇO NOVO features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was fantastic, in the center of the village. Our room had a view of the mountains, the staff were very attentive, the cleanliness and hygiene of the room were impeccable. Situated in 2 small traditional whitewashed houses in Marvão, this charming pousada offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains from its restaurant. Location was unique for us , our first time to stay inside a fortress/walled city. It’s comfy,BF was standard but quite good.

This 3-star hotel is located in Portagem, on the banks of the Sever River, where guests can enjoy a public pool. It has free WiFi and views of the historic village of Marvão. Excellent hotel with a wonderful view of the Marvao castle and overlooking a river. The room was large and comfortable with an excellent shower. We had a veranda and view. The continental breakfast had an option for eggs and there were local sweets to try. The location is good to explore Marvao and the nearby area. Parking was very easy on the street behind the hotel.
