I will be honest. Athrapally was never on my list. We were supposed to travel from Coimbatore to Allepey but with senior parent we had to break up the 7-9hours ride. So we ended up planning a stay at Athirapally on the recommendation of the driver. A quick look on booking.com and we saw that the views of the waterfall here looked great..though pricey. So we booked it. The service here was great from the guy who showed us to our room and gave details of the location and waterfall to the chef and the hotel manager. The food was good, the chef even came out to talk to us. Breakfast and teatime was complimentary. You had to order dinner in advance, but the chef was patient with us and explained the dishes and we ordered more than enough for the family (no regrets) to sample their cookings. We had a complimentary upgrade for one of the rooms as it was off season. The hotel seems new and is very clean. Do take note the location itself can be contrasting to what is outside but the view of the waterfall is amazing. The entrance to the waterfall is a 5-minute walk (the actual trek to the waterfall maybe another hour to and fro). They have a complimentary walking tour to the waterfall and our guide was very patient. Especially with my mother who had knee issues but was insistent on seeing the waterfall. He helped her trek through the route which is not easy for someone like her. Overall excellent service.

Everything about the stay was perfect.Hospitality of the staffs were impressive especially Ramesh and the staff of room service department were really helpful.Property was well maintained.Room and toilet was so clean.Location is so close to waterfalls.

Very well-maintained resort with beautiful lighting in the evening. Good home cooking at all meals, rooms are clean and our bed was incredibly comfortable. The river was very close and could be reached within 3 minutes to take a cool bath in the pools. Especially in the afternoon this place unfolds its magic. The special thing about this resort is definitely the warmth and generosity of the manager Mr. Shegkar. With his warm-hearted care, he creates a family atmosphere in which you feel welcome at all times.

River View was excellent. We had a great time at the river and watched the sunset. We even managed to catch the sunrise. Food was excellent. Worth every penny. Very memorable.
